The most common side effects associated with CBD- include: sleepiness, sedation and lethargy; elevated liver enzymes; decreased appetite; diarrhoea; rash; fatigue, malaise and weakness; insomnia, sleep disorder and poor quality sleep.
While it is not likely that all of those CBD gummies and oils that are being consumed these days will present any harm to the liver the reality is we just don't know for sure if injury is possible in high enough doses. After all, many other herbal supplements on the market today can cause liver damage, as well.
Although, as far as we know, cannabis derivatives are safer than other medications, we still have a lot to learn about this cannabinoid before we can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that its safety and efficacy for conditions ranging from pain management to cancer treatment has been adequately evaluated.
